While no animals were harmed in the making of Vaute Couture's Fall/Winter 2010 collection, the vegan and eco-friendly outerwear line sure knocked us dead at the Green Shows for New York Fashion Week yesterday. Playfully styled models with origami-adorned coifs and sparkly crystal necklaces strutted down the runway wearing an array of 100 percent cruelty-free looks, ranging from classic black pea coats to DayGlo-yellow puffer jackets.

NO ANIMALS WERE HARMED
Just what the doctor ordered for the snowy weather that engulfed Manhattan during New York Fashion Week’s the Green Shows, Vaute Couture‘s snuggly coats and jackets, made from recyclable and vegan materials, warmed bodies and hearts alike. The line ran the gamut, from timeless, trendless black pea coats to fashion-forward fluorescent puffers, and they were all to die for (although you probably want to phrase that differently if any bunnies, geese, or sheep are within earshot).
