Swimsuit weather may be fading fast, but Tami B’s skimpy warm-weather duds sizzled on the catwalk of Nolcha Fashion Week nonetheless, with iridescent metallics and fierce animal prints that sent temperatures soaring at Manhattan’s Bohemian National Hall.

Brought to life by designer Tamiko Browne from recycled and sustainable fabrics, the sexy one-pieces and bikinis evoke the island spirit of Browne’s adopted Caribbean home. (She’s originally from the United States.) Besides featuring elements of La Soufriere, St. Vincent’s active volcano, as well as the surrounding black-and-white-sand beaches, Tami B’s Spring/Summer 2010 collection also includes hand-embellished details, glinting like sunlight reflecting off crashing ocean waves.
