Copenhagen Fashion Summit Ends With a Sustainable Runway Show

Sponsored by H&M, the runway showcased 15 Nordic fashion houses—both emerging and established—including Norrback, Ivana Helsinki, Marimekko, Ásta Creative Clothes, and Baum und Pferdgarten. Participating designers had their pick of up to five sustainable textiles, such as Ingeo, milk fibers, Newlife, organic wool, organic cotton, organic linen, recycled polyester, and recycled denim. They were also to encouraged to incorporate fabric off-cuts, recycled textiles, and vintage pieces.

The winner, to be announced, will win an exhibiting space during WHITE’s next fashion trade show, a Global Organic Textiles (GOTS) certification of his or her collection, and a VIP guest invite of WGSN to Pure London. Watch the video above for a front-row view that Anna Wintour would envy.
