Littered with spindly metal carcasses and swathes of polyester waving impotently in the wind, a post-downpour New York City—and most likely, every other city—is a spectacle to behold. (Umbrellas can weather anything except severe weather, it seems.)

RAIN OR SHINE

Instead of leaving wayward brollies high and dry, Italian designer Cecilia Felli, rescues and rehabilitates them into twirl-worthy skirts, complete with the original spokes and dangling Velcro straps. Although one of a kind, each skirt is one size fits all, thanks to an adjustable belt that tops off each colorful ensemble with a sweet bow.

Dark and stormy days ahead? Bring ‘em on.
