Sorry but read this CFDA agrees that bamboo fiber is less than green
In a recent column published by the Council of Fashion Designers of America, Linda E. Greer, director of the Natural Resources Defense Council’s Health Program, writes that despite bamboo’s rep as an eco-fiber, the process that renders it into fabric is similar to that of conventional rayon and is supremely chemical intensive. “Avoid, if you’re looking to go greener,” Greer says.
The Krama by K’s model looks so ill and malnourished… how is this deemed normal, and that women should look like this in a bikini??? I live in a very rural place and have little exposure to media in many ways (as much as I use the internet I dont read magazines or watch TV) but this image has really struck me. Especially after scouring pages and pages looking for a bikini online this has to be the skinniest bikini model I have seen. And for some reason I would associate Eco with healthy, or am I mad?? Definitely put me off buying that bikini and anything to do with the eco-merits of the product.
