Everything we buy or use has a indirect water footprint that stems from its manufacturing, from harvesting the raw materials to displaying the finished product on a store shelf near you. In fact, textile dyeing and treatment are responsible for 17 to 20 percent of industrial water pollution, according to the World Bank.
