Sometimes all it takes is a slap of paint to heal what ails you, especially if the offending party lies directly underfoot. French artist Nicolas Chevallier frequently injects color therapy into his life by hand-painting preexisting garments, including a limited-edition collection of Nike sneakers that he has dyed with a palette of nearly 100 custom-mixed hues.
