Actress Katie Holme and her former stylist Jeanne Yang have shuttered their Holmes & Yang clothing line as a result of “interpersonal conflict,” according to the New York Post. The five-year-old label, which produced its garments primarily in New York City, can no longer be found at Barneys New York, once its tentpole stockist. Holmes & Yang’s Facebook and Twitter feeds also lie dormant, with no new updates in more than a month. “Jeanne enjoys the spotlight way more than Katie does,” a source told the newspaper. “Things have definitely soured between them.”

Distance may be sticking point, too. “Katie’s living in New York and Jeanne’s living in L.A., which hasn’t made it easier,” said an insider. Rumor has it that Yang was leaking information about Holmes and her ex-husband, Tom Cruise, following their divorce.

Holmes & Yang wasn’t a label for the shopper on a shoestring. With prices that started at $325 for a camisole made from New Jersey-milled silk to lace-and-leather dresses that ran well into the thousands, the garments eschewed gimmicks for quality craftsmanship. “It’s a quiet line,” Holmes said at the label’s last showing in February 2013. “We’re not trying to be trendy, but we’re trying to make high-quality pieces you’ll wear over and over again.”

Manufacturing in Manhattan was something both Holmes and Yang insisted on. “My mom was a sewing contractor, and she put me through college,” Yang said. “Katie’s mother had a drapery business, so she knows about draping.”

True to its Hollywood roots, Holmes & Yang was spotted on many a celebrity, including Amy Adams, Jennifer Garner, Kate Mara, and Rihanna.
