In an act of marketing synergy that Disney is a seasoned practitioner of, New York City jeweler Alex Woo has designed a pair of pendants inspired by Chimpanzee, a documentary that the Mouse House describes as a “remarkable story of family bonds and individual triumph.” Available in recycled sterling silver and 14-karat gold, the pendants feature Oscar, the film’s 3-year-old protagonist, swinging from a trio of vines that symbolize the Jane Goodall Institute’s mission to protect people, animals, and environment. (Twenty percent of proceeds from sales of the pendants will benefit the nonprofit’s conservation efforts.) Chimpanzee will premiere in theaters on April 20. Don’t forget the Kleenex, y’all.
