While high-waisted “mom jeans” are the furthest thing from sophisticated chic, when revamped, they become the definition of deconstructed cool. Designer Antoinette Perez takes those ill-fitting disasters apart and turns them into beautifully tailored designs, including two dresses and a capelet she submitted to our Recycled Denim Challenge. With the addition of reclaimed hardware like studs and zippers, she’s changing the way we look at our vintage denim. Talk about yummy mommies.
