Jill is the founder of Ecouterre, and the whole Inhabitat family of websites, as well as a LEED-AP eco designer and green design consultant. Educated at Brown University, where she received a B.A. in Art Semiotics, and Columbia, where she worked on a Masters in architecture, she currently resides in New York City, which so far has been good for her obsession with rooftop gardens and vegan junk food restaurants. Jill loves eco fashion and hates it when people dismiss clothing design as trivial matter, unworthy of serious conversation (people, you do wear clothes, right? ;) She's been profiled in Vogue, Domino and Paper magazines, as well as the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.

Mr. Larkin Wows Us With Nature-Inspired Spring Eco Fashion Collection

We saw Mr. Larkin’s amazing Spring/Summer 2010 collection on the runway this past week at the GreenShows and fell madly in love with the innovative yet totally wearable, beautifully crafted looks. We swooned over the fabulous looks on the runway, but quick research into Mr. Larkin’s production process left us even more impressed because every garment is meticulously hand dyed with natural materials, such as berries, acorns, maple leaves, mint, and iron!

It’s a rare rare thing when the tabloid world crosses into the world of eco-fashion, and one that might bring a little more attention to Bahar’s already-provocative line than would normally have been the case.
