Photos by Arthur Eisenberg The GreenShows at New York Fashion Week officially came to a close Wednesday night with C. Marchuska's Fall/Winter 2010 show, which presented a melange of clean, versatile pieces directed towards the socially conscious, fashion-forward woman. Catherine Marchuska and Brooke Bresnan, the two Wall Street execs turned eco-designers, really flexed their eco-chic muscles this year, with seriously alluring attire in fluid jerseys and shimmery satins, all while keeping utter wearability in check. True to C. Marchuska form, the classic pieces have major staying power, making them all the more sustainable.

CHIC TO CHIC
C. Marchuska’s Fall/Winter 2010 runway show may not have had the dramatic impact as Gary Harvey or JoAnn Berman’s, but designers Christine Marchuska and Brooke Bresnan manage to hold their own. Their organic cotton, Garment District-manufactured togs comprise evergreen basics you’ll keep going back to, with a few head-turning treats, like a long-sleeved ruched dress and a shimmery gold satin jacket, to keep people guessing.
Thanks to Arthur Eisenberg for the amazing photos!
