You don’t go anywhere without your smartphone, but dragging around your charger cord is a bit of a pain even though you know it’ll die part way through the day. To remedy this dilemma, eBay has teamed with five designers to create a USB bracelet that’s both fashionable and functional. This piece of wearable tech will come in five stylish designs created by some of your favorite creators, like Mara Hoffman, Michael Bastian, Milly, Rachel Zoe and Shipley & Halmos. You can pick up your power bracelet starting November 11th through eBay and all proceeds will benefit the Council of Fashion Designers of America Foundation.
In this second edition of their Holiday Collective, eBay is combining fashion and technology to create something quite useful. The USB bracelets can be used to power and transfer data to and from our smartphones. One side features a micro USB connector and the other a regular USB connector and is compatible with iPhone 4/4s/5/5s/5c, Androids and Blackberrys. This way you can keep a charger handy with you at all times.
eBay teamed up with CFDA designers Mara Hoffman, Michael Bastian, Milly, Rachel Zoe and Shipley & Halmos, to create the bracelets. The proceeds of the sales will go towards the CFDA Foundation, which raises funds charitable initiatives and campaigns on behalf of the American fashion industry’s designers. The bracelets will be available through eBay’s Holiday Collective starting November 11 for $25 each.
