As much as we adore the drama of larger-than-life ensembles (hello, Ada Zanditon!), we’re not about to don giant metallic epaulets for a Sunday coffee klatch with the girls. For those dressed-down, quotidian moments, there’s Creem, a line of sustainable activewear by Raina Blyer, the designer behind Ryann. Described by Blyer as the “uniform for New York living,” the Gotham-produced collection of tops, jumpsuits, wraps, and pants offer the perfect mix of style and comfort—versatile enough to match with pieces from your wardrobe but so chic you could pair them with heels for a night on the town.

YOGA YOUR WAY

Although Creem’s garments are made from organic cotton and bamboo blends, their fiber composition isn’t the only thing that makes them sustainable. Each look is adaptable enough to take you from yoga class to brunch to a club without absolute ease. After all, Blyer created her range with harried, multitasking New Yorkers in mind. Each piece can be dressed up or down, layered or worn alone.

The Creem collection is designed to have no expiration date; the colors and styles are season-neutral.

Because the threads are designed to have no expiration date, Blyer kept the colors and styles season-neutral. One of her favorite pieces is the Roxy top, which started out originally as a skirt pattern. “When I was pulling it onto the mannequin, the pockets got bunched up and I saw a really cool idea for a sleeve,” Blyer tells Ecouterre.

The wrap cardigan is another standout that encapsulates the spirit of the collection. Made from Japanese recycled cotton—fused together from two different fabrics—it’s part cotton jersey, part light-as-a-feather sweater knit. “This style can be worn loose or belted so many different ways,” she says. “The result is a super lightweight and cozy feeling.”
