Ecoalf Turns Recycled Plastic Bottles, Fishing Nets Into Unisex Accessories

Technological innovation meets environmental design with Ecoalf, a burgeoning fashion label that uses only 100 percent recycled and recyclable materials. Hailing from Spain, Ecoalf joined us at the Designers & Agents Green Room last week as a prelude to its North American rollout. Harnessing sustainable textiles such as recycled polyester (from post-consumer plastic bottles) and nylon (from discarded fishing nets), Ecoalf creates nonconformist bags, jackets, and even shoes that are as functional and on-trend as they are environmentally respectful. As CEO Javier Goyeneche succinctly put it, EcoAlf is an ever-changing “result of continuous thought.” Look for Ecoalf products this July at Bloomingdale’s and other specialty boutiques. Or, check out our favorite NYC eco-boutique KAIGHT for select pieces if you can’t wait!
