The Ethical Fashion Forum has just revealed the latest recipients of its annual Innovation awards, which were created to support and nurture new design talent. The five winners—Ada Zanditon, Olga Olsson, Lu Flux, Feng Ho, and Ahilya— were announced at a party at London’s Hospital Club last week. They join a list of distinguished alumni that include Christopher Raeburn, Mark Liu, and Beautiful Soul.

WINNERS’ CIRCLE

Culled from more than 130 applicants from nearly every continent, the winning designers gain access to business support and exhibition space at Pure London and LFW Estethica.

The awards have been championed by industry heavyweights such as Vogue.com editor Dolly Jones, designers Roland Mouret and Preen, model Erin O’Connor, and Frances Corner, the head of the London College of Fashion.

“There are a lot of things to get right in order to succeed as a designer,” says Preen’s Thornton. “It is important that information on sustainability and sourcing options are made more available to designers. This competition helps to raise awareness of sustainability and encourage new designers to engage with it.”
