Don’t say Gwyneth Paltrow never did the world any favors. The Oscar-winner-turned-lifestyle-guru has hooked up with the eyewear-makers at Warby Parker to co-create a line of vintage-inspired sunglasses. Like all the offerings at Warby Parker, which Paltrow describes as “super-cool, clever, and sophisticated,” each purchase has a philanthropic twist. For every pair of sunglasses you buy, the New York-based firm will donate a pair of eyeglasses to someone in need. Besides hitting its five-year milestone, Warby Parker has another reason to celebrate: its 500,000th pair of glasses distributed through its “Buy a Pair, Give a Pair” program, which works with companies like VisionSpring to reach communities in Asia, Africa, and South America.
