We may not have the Olsen twins singing karaoke or the Proenza Schouler boys facing off in a game of ping-pong, but Fashion’s Night Out isn’t about to be ethical fashion’s night in. Join Ecouterre and the Textile Arts Center this Friday for a night of slow fashion in Brooklyn, including a panel moderated by our founder and editor-in-chief, Jill Fehrenbacher, along with a shopping event with Gotham’s finest sustainable designers.
6 – 7 p.m. “Hack Sustainable Fashion” workshop
7 – 8:30 p.m. Ecouterre eco-fashion panel and Q&A moderated by Jill Fehrenbacher, with panelists Greta Eagan (FashionMeGreen), Caroline Priebe (Uluru), Sarah Scaturro (Cooper-Hewitt Museum), Titania Inglis, Shabd Simon-Alexander, Margarita Mileva (M2 Jewelry), and Laura “London” Shirreff (Waste Not Want Not)
8:30 – 11 p.m. Shopping hours with local designers (reMade USA, Wiksten, Shabd, Titania Inglis, and M2 Jewelry), free DIY workshops, food, drinks, live DJ
