Join the Textile Arts Center in Manhattan on April 26 for a “Night of Color” in benefit of “Sewing Seeds,” an educational initiative designed to boost the profile (and proliferation) of natural, plant-based dyes. Come for the interactive installations, displays, and performances by Study NY, Cat Lauigan of Cave Collective, and Frank Traynor; stay for the naturally dyed cocktails, dancing, and shoulder-rubbing. The Textile Arts Center will also be raffling seven hand-dyed silk scarves by Audrey Louise Reynolds, Adrienne Antonson of State, Erin Considine, Ilana Kohn, Shabd, Tara St. James, and Titania Inglis.
