Photos by Amanda Coen for Ecouterre

No blue-dyed hands here at Leanne Marshall’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection show at New York Fashion Week on Saturday. Even though the Season 5 Project Runway winner hand-dyed all her dresses (as usual), she told Ecouterre after the show she didn’t want to be at her show with purple hands! Just recently returned from her trip to South France, Marshall was inspired by an unlikely subject: cabbage. “I came back from France and was looking through my photos and I had all these photos of cabbage plants for some reason and said hm, these are really pretty! The colors and shape…and I love cabbage,” Marshall told us. Luxurious cream gowns and sultry purple and green cocktail dresses with overflowing layers, tiers and delicate curves, Marshall definitely makes cabbage look so appealing. (Full review to follow.)
