Livia Firth’s dishy husband, Colin Firth, may have nabbed the Golden Globe for Best Actor on Sunday night, but it was her ethereal gown that floored us, big time. The man behind the woman behind the thespian? Tennessee designer Jeff Garner of Prophetik, who used Ahimsa silk, popularly known as “peace” or “vegetarian” silk, to whip up the vision in indigo-dyed blue. Still, Firth ceded the title of best dressed to another do-gooding beauty. “Angelina Jolie looked insanely beautiful—hardly an original observation—and, in my opinion, she was the night’s best dressed,” she wrote in her blog. Next stop on the Firths’ red-carpet-green-gown tour: the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Jan. 30.
