So-called arbiters of good taste may heckle soda-tab belts and candy-wrapper clutches for being low brow, but Italian fashion house Marni is, quite thankfully, above such pretensions. One of the few daring innovators at “Runway to Green,” the label that Consuelo Castiglioni built featured a hat, bag, and bib necklace festooned with paillettes of recycled plastic. Quirky? Sure. A valid form of expression? Of course. After all, one man’s trash is another man’s avant-garde, and we’re quite certain that Anna—yes, the Anna—approved.
