NSFW: “Niptons” Are Nipple Pasties Made From Recycled Records

GREEN IS SEXY

Two years of prototyping—and one marriage to said girlfriend—later, Tipton’s “Niptons” require just a little more work on the packaging front before they’re ready. “A successful campaign would also enable us to make the necessary tooling to fill the orders,” Milaskey says.

While the pasties are sure to draw lascivious interest, Tipton’s goal is far less prurient. “Remastering vinyl records into beautiful design objects and products is our main objective,” he tells us. “Considering the vinyl revival of recent years, the vinyl record is a celebrated piece of art for music fans again, including us.”

It’s the marriage of music and design, paired with sustainability, that drives the 17-year-old firm, Milaskey adds.

If pasties are too outrageous for your taste, Tipton has more sedate offerings in its lineup, as well. Its “Vinylize” line of sunglasses features records from the likes of Pink Floyd. Available in limited quantities, each one-of-a-kind frame embodies the “quality and style of the music they are made from,” Milaskey says.
