Nudie Jeans knows that denim only gets better with age. Instead of letting them rot in a landfill, the Swedish brand turned 2,700 pairs of donated dungarees into a limited-edition collection of braided camper seats and rugs. Each foldable stool comprises the in- and outseams of nine pairs of jeans. The company then shredded the remaining denim to create the Scandinavian-inspired mats, which are available in two sizes. All in all all, Nudie Jeans managed to repurpose 90 percent of each pair of pants. Any leftover components, such as back pockets, rivets, buttons, and waistbands, will be used “somewhere else, for another project,” it says.
