NYC Architect Margarita Mileva Makes Dress Entirely From Rubber Bands

One of the best parts of Eco-Fashion’s Night Out at the Textile Arts Center (besides the mini-cupcakes, that is)? Catching up with old friends and making new ones. One familiar face who has been busy since we last spoke is Margarita Mileva, New York City architect and champion upcycler of office supplies. Mileva and her daughter co-created a swingy, kaleidoscopic frock entirely from discarded rubber bands. Knit, twisted, and bound together in all their multihued glory, the erstwhile elastic ties conspire to form a deep-V bustier babydoll, anchored at the decolletage by a floral knot.
