Philippe Starck’s line of flip-flops for Ipanema may not make you taller, tanner, younger, or lovelier, but they’re bound to leave an “ahh” or two in their wake. Produced in Brazil in collaboration with the acclaimed French designer, the “Ipanema with Starck” capsule collection features four designs in 12 colorways. The thongs themselves, according to Ipanema, comprise a flexible plastic derived from at least 30 percent recycled materials. They’re also completely recyclable. “The Ipanema with Starck collection explores the territory of high elegance paired with the utmost minimalism,” Starck said in a statement “When you reach elegance with a few dollars or euros, this is no longer magic; it is a modern miracle.”
