Julie Picken-Cooper had some perfectly good jeans that didn’t fit her anymore, and it seemed so wasteful to just throw them out. Instead, she got the idea this summer to reuse the material and transform it into a rug. With both her old jeans and old T-shirts in hand, she took on a fun project that gave way to a great recycling idea and new throw rug for her house—win/win!
