THE PLEETEST THING
Forgive us for what sounds like an extended mash note, but we’re madly in love with Samantha Pleet’s fetching Fall/Winter 2010 collection, which made its debut at New York Fashion Week’s the Green Shows on Tuesday.
Pleet has a way with making simple silhouettes feel fresh and fun with quirky prints and unusual details (cut-outs, “pleeted” waists, front-facing pockets) on sustainable materials such as organic wool, Chinese mud silk, and recycled Ultrasuede. In fact, we already see ourselves lounging around the house in her ultra-comfy adult-sized one-piece jammies. Will you be lining up this fall with us?
