Steal These Eco-Looks: Thieves by Sonja den Elzen Fall/Winter 2010

Despite shades of Mad Max on Tatooine, Thieves, Sonja den Elzen’s eco-friendly Fall/Winter 2010 collection at New York Fashion Week’s the GreenShows turned out to be surprisingly chic and ready to wear.

Rather than using color to add interest, den Elzen chose a black on black theme laced with shape and texture. We applaud her gutsy decision and think it makes a lot of sense to design timeless clothes that real people will actually put on. After all, it isn’t very sustainable to produce supertrendy garments that won’t be worn. And hey, black will never go out of style.
