Darkness may fall, but that doesn’t mean you have to fade into the background. For night riders of the female persuasion, designer/animal-rights activist Stella McCartney has your back, with a new cruelty-free (natch) collection for Adidas that includes a line of glow-in-the-dark performance gear.
LET IT GLOW
Part of the Adidas by Stella McCartney Fall/Winter 2010 collection, the glow-in-the-dark range features a ruched-shoulder jacket ($175), a drawstring short, and a lace-up running shoe ($140), all clad in a feisty leopard print that McCartney describes as “not so masculine and graphic.”

Just one downside: The jacket and short are composed of conventional polyester, not the recycled PET version recently employed by the likes of Nike. For nocturnal cyclists of all stripes (and spots), however, the material’s breathable yet weather-resistant hand can only be a boon, paving the way for popping wheelies night or day, come rain or shine.
