Gallery: The Story of Stuff: Choose Family Over Frenzy This Black Friday

Chow down on Black Friday. Go on a hike on Black Friday. Knit a sweater on Black Friday. In fact, do whatever you want on Black Friday as long as it’s not waking up before dawn to beat the beejeezus out of someone over cheap stuff you don’t need. ‘Tis the season, says the Story of Stuff Project’s Annie Leonard, not to get trampled. The sustainability advocate and her team have created a one-minute video, set to a classic holiday jingle, that parodies the 24-hour shopping bonanza that’s become a post-Thanksgiving American tradition.

Thank you for sharing! Let’s choose #FairTuesday over #BlackFriday this year… Join the Fair Tuesday movement: http://www.fairtuesday.org

    Makes people think-hopefully???!!!!

Also please at this time of year especially do not buy people pets as ‘gifts’ or treat animals as merely fashion items, makes the creature an abuse victim as well as the giver/recipient a fashion victim? Consider when ready visiting an animal charity like the Blue Croos, Battersea Dogs Home or Cat’s Protection or making a much needed donation

    Merry Christmas
