Target lauds its brands’ for their compelling “About Us” stories. Duluth Pack, the oldest leather-and-canvas bag-making company in the United States, boasts a history spanning 130 years. Billykirk is a labor of love by two brothers who wanted to create goods that got better with age. As for San Francisco’s Taylor Stitch, it’s on a mission to remake classic staples that are as rugged as they are refined.
“What excites me about this program is that we’ve curated brands we think our guests will love, and that we’ve worked with each brand to co-create products specifically with our guests in mind,” says Kathee Tesija, chief merchandising and supply chain officer at Target, in a statement.
She adds: “By exploring innovative partnerships like Target Collective, we’re bringing newness to our assortment and offering our guests easy access to stylish, well-crafted, quality products they’ll find only at Target.”

This isn’t the chain store’s first flirtation with American-made. In November, Target collaborated with Faribault Woolen Mill on a capsule line of Minnesota-manufactured scarves, shawls, bags, smartphone cases, and laptop sleeves for the holidays.
