You’re supposed to, says the legendary British designer.”If people like my clothes, it’s good if they don’t buy things for six months, then they’ll be able to afford them,” she told reporters before showing her Spring/Summer 2014 menswear collection in Milan on Monday. Westwood defended the cost of her designs, which can run up to £800 ($1,200) for a men’s suit. “I think it’s ecologically friendly that the clothes should be expensive,” she added.

Can we compromise and have moderately-priced Eco-friendly clothes?

Pay for quality clothing, but Westwood it’s quality, you are paying for a name – besides her clothing isn’t hugely expensive, thus why it’s high-street and passée. I can’t even afford a £3 t-shirt from Primark right now, but if I could afford it I’d happily pay £800 on a quality suit…only I’d go to a quality professional tailor.
